Since 2005, Dr. Lee has volunteered quarterly for the Flying Doctors of Mercy- LIGA. He has been the primary surgeon at LIGA for the treatment for severe foot and ankle deformities including Club Feet, a severe and crippling birth defect. He also uses this mission as a platform to teach advancing podiatrists, residents and medical students on the fine points of Third World reconstructive surgery. Dr. Lee feels that the blessings of his experience with LIGA and the people of Mexico has been his greatest professional achievement thus far.
